Música para migrantes is built from the last three years I've lived in Barcelona. I took sounds I designed for short films, pulled them out of their scenes, and wove them together with material made for this night into one set about what it takes to inhabit a new place: carrying the hope of what's coming alongside the nostalgia for what you left behind. It happened at Espai Salva Discos, under red light and paper lanterns, in a room lined floor to ceiling with records. Push, laptop, guitar and pedals, played live, close enough to the people listening that the set could follow them.
